Smith, with the help of series founder and coordinator Quain Stott, has built a 1955 Chevy just like the one his father ran back in the day. It's got a small block and a stick shift.

Did we mention it wins too? Smith is undefeated ever since the South East Group abandoned their "Chicago Style" format in favor of conventional eliminations.
