ENDERS SIGNS NEW SPONSOR
Enders
purchased the assets of the red Mopar SRT from Don Schumacher at the conclusion
of the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and inked a deal with Revive 10 days later.
Founded in the spring of 2006 by CEO Bruce Badgett, this will mark Revive USA's
first foray into drag racing. However, they've already experienced the marketing
power of motorsports having backed Indy Racing League driver Vitor Meira and
Panther Racing for the second half of the '06 season.
"The first drag
race I ever attended was the U.S. Nationals in Indy earlier this month and I was
sold on the sport and Erica Enders immediately," Badgett said. "Erica is the
perfect face for our marketing efforts and her rabid fan base matches our target
demographic. In fact, the NHRA fan is a great group of people for Revive --
they're outgoing sports fanatics who support their heroes as well as any other
target group we've studied. We’ve had a great start in racing with the IRL
fans and we’ll continue to foster those relationships.
"When you
combine the NHRA fan with Enders Racing's proven ability to deliver the business
activation required to generate a return on our investment, the decision was
easy. We studied dozens of teams and celebrities and concluded this team offers
the best combination of presence and business experience anywhere in
motorsports.
"In our opinion, NHRA drag racing is on a very impressive
upward trend and we just don't see it slowing down any time soon. We're excited
to jump on for the ride, especially with someone we consider to be one of the
future all-stars of the sport. Erica is very special on and off the track."
