DUNN - MCCLENATHAN ENTERTAIN AUSSIE MEDIA

927.jpgAfter entertaining various Sydney newspaper, radio and television media today at Western Sydney International Dragway, American Top Fuel visitors Mike Dunn and Cory McClenathan have declared their delight in racing against Australia's best at WSID this weekend in a massive International Motorsport event for this country.

"I was serious that I think Sydney would be an awesome venue to stage a round of the NHRA series from the USA," remarked Mike Dunn - multiple NHRA event winner in both Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Car in the world's elite Drag Racing Series.

"This facility is as good as anything going back home in America, I have no doubt the fans will get a great show this weekend and I am very happy to be racing with Santo Rapisarda and the team."

Its not just the Drivers that add spice to the event this weekend, it's the equipment, crew and crew chiefs that are also here in Australia to help tune 8,000 horsepower Dragsters to run straight and fast down the world-class WSID quarter mile - at over 500kmh. With Glenn Mikres tuning Dunn and veteran wrench Wes Cerny at McClenathan's aid this weekend, you can expect some strong performances.

"I have spoken to Jim for over three years now in racing over here and I am so happy to be here, I can't wait for the weekend as I am real confident with what we have here and run some great numbers if the weather conditions co-operate," exclaimed McClenathan, a winner of 33 NHRA events and runner-up in the championship on four occasions, making one of the most consistent Nitro performers in NHRA history as well!

Cory 'Mac' is also very excited about running the 90% Nitromethane fuel to Methanol ratio - to say the least.

"I have to say firing the car up for the Media here just now, it reminded me how awesome 90% Nitro is and we are so happy the NHRA are going back that way next year, the cars sound so much better and more evil - really awesome sound!"
