Clay Millican confirmed today he is a free agent in the drag racing world again.

Millican, a veteran driver for Evan Knoll’s Top Fuel team, confirmed he and the rest of his team was informed they “should start exploring other opportunities” in drag racing.

“I was told by Torco they weren’t sure what was going to happen with the race teams at this time,” Millican confirmed. “The whole team was instructed to explore other opportunities.” Clay Millican confirmed today he is a free agent in the drag racing world again.

Millican said the return of the team is not likely for this season.

“Just getting this news was a tough pill to swallow and I’m exactly not sure what to do from this point,” Millican said. “I am completely heartbroken right now. I have worked with some of the guys together for ten years.

“Who knows if we will remain together, I am not exactly sure what I am going to do now.”

Millican declined to discuss any further details regarding the team’s future.
