The NHRA O’Reilly Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern and Western conference
finals will be featured during two episodes of Inside Drag Racing on
ION TV. Inside Drag Racing is produced by Masters Entertainment Group,
producers of NHRA drag racing programming for more than a decade.
The Eastern Conference Finals will air at 4:30 p.m. (ET) Saturday, Aug. 9. The event is being contested July 10-12 at Bristol Dragway in Bristol, Tenn.
The Western Conference Finals will air at 4:30 p.m. (ET) Saturday, Aug. 23. The event is being contested July 24-26 at Bandimere Speedway near Denver. “This gives O’Reilly Auto Parts and NHRA the opportunity to put these kids in the national spotlight,” said Tom Conquergood, manager of motorsports and marketing, O’Reilly Auto Parts. “It also shines the spotlight on our future customers.”
O’Reilly Auto Parts began its sponsorship of the program in 2003.
The NHRA O’Reilly Junior Drag Racing League was founded in 1992. From 1994-1999 there was one national championship held. In 2000, in order to give more drivers the opportunity to race for the championship, NHRA began the Eastern and Western Conference Finals.
Inside Drag Racing is telecast on ION, which is available on 55 cable networks in the top 50 markets in the United States. In addition, ION is available on basic satellite service and offered in many smaller markets on local cable systems.
