The offices of Torco Race Fuels, Inc. were open on Wednesday for business despite rumors circulating the business had been shut down by the federal government.

A call to Torco's Terry McMillen answered questions but left the door open for speculation.

“The business is open today, I assure you,” McMillen said. “Customers are picking up racing gas. We are taking orders. I’ll be honest, we’ve run into some roadblocks in obtaining the raw materials to continue production but we’ll work through that.

“There are a lot of rumors going on out there about the company, but the proof will be in the pudding at the end of the day. We are intent on moving forward.”

McMillen declined to comment on any other issues surrounding the company.

“That’s all I am saying about any of this for now,” McMillen said. “Right now all I know is our doors are open and we’re working unless we are notified otherwise. You can take that for whatever it’s worth.”
