The U.S. Army Top Fuel team and driver Tony “the Sarge” Schumacher will host a two-star general as well as a hometown hero during the weekend of the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX at Heartland Park Topeka.

The U.S. Army Top Fuel team and driver Tony “the Sarge” Schumacher will host a two-star general as well as a hometown hero during the weekend of the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX at Heartland Park Topeka. 

Maj. Gen. Stephen Reeves, the joint program executive officer for Chemical & Biological Defense of the Department of Defense, and Spc. Erika Foster, who recently returned from Iraq with the Purple Heart, will visit with the defending NHRA POWERade world championship team. Both Reeves and Foster have local connections.

Reeves is a native of Topeka and a University of Kansas graduate, and Foster is stationed at Fort Riley in the 97th Military Police Battalion.
