NHRA Pro Stock Bike world champion Matt Smith confirmed that Mike Berry will join his team in Englishtown, NJ during the NHRA Supernationals. Berry will replace current rider Angie McBride for a span of at least three events.

"We've had three races in a row where we can't can't the bike out of third gear," Smith said. "We're just going to put someone else on it and give it a try. Mike Berry wanted to rent the bike for a few races, so we are going to try it out."

The Littleton, Co.-based rider has long been known for his association aboard Suzuki rides and has one final round to his credit. From 2001 until 2005, Berry finished in the top ten championship standings. An untimely crash in 2006 halted his streak.
