“I’ve been racing and riding Suzukis for 17 years,” Johnson said, “but this year’s new model intro was something special.  It was like one of those giant Las Vegas buffets you hear about, but instead of steak and prime rib it was a cornucopia of championship-winning GSXRs, Fuel Injected dirt bikes, highway cruisers and even scooters for just puttering around.  Suzuki had everything from pavement-melting performance bikes to motorcycles designed for economical operation.  I had a wish list I my head when I started walking the isles, but by the time I’d made one complete circuit I had too many choices for my very thin wallet to contend with!”

Cruising the isles with Johnson was NASCAR superstar Ken Schrader.  “We had a blast,” Johnson said.  “I love talking with someone from another discipline of racing, but I don’t think anyone has more desire, and has driven more types of cars then he has, but he had the same problem I had – trying to pic out just one or two Suzukis we’d like to have in our own garages.

“Suzuki has been getting it done in the marketplace for 45 years,” Johnson continued.  “It was so cool to see the excitement on the faces of the dealers firsthand.  Everyone talks about racing being like a family, and with Suzuki, that’s exactly what it feels like.”
