cap_dragster.jpgThe 2nd annual winter Rod and speed Show returns to the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany,
Oregon. Over 50 show cars, classic cars and trucks, roadsters, muscle cars and race vehicles will be on display on Saturday, January 31 from 9am-9pm.
 
The proceeds from the show will benefit the 9-year old Cricket Beebe, a Corvallis girl fighting a cancerous
brain tumor. Her single mother can only work one day a week as she cares for her child. They live in a converted garage.

Featured cars include the Tiki Warrior funny car, the 57' Chevy "Scream" Pro Mod and one of the wild Willys coupes of local rod builder, Don Pyle. A giant model car contest will take place with nationally known model car expert, Ed January. Vendors selling hot rod clothing, models and diecast cars and old race photos. All day long silent auction will be held along with raffles assisting with the fund raising.
 
Adult admission is $6.00 at the door and kids 10 and under are free. Discount coupons at auto parts stores
are available throughout the area. Free Mattel Hot Wheels cars will be given to the first 100 kids through the door on the 31st.
