The track also will participate in special programs offered exclusively by NHRA, including the National Dragster Challenge, the Aerospace Components King of the Track, the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Challenge, and NHRA Drags: Street Legal Style presented by AAA.  The National Dragster Challenge and the King of the Track programs give local racers the opportunity to earn coveted Wally trophies at their home track.

"We’re real excited about being a part of NHRA,” said Todd Zampese, president of San Antonio Raceway. “We have already received a lot of great feedback from our racers on the announcement and we’re anxious to go to compete in the NHRA bracket finals this year.”

“This is exciting news for all the racers in the San Antonio area,” said Craig Hutchinson, NHRA South Central Division director.  “We are excited to bring the NHRA and all of our programs to this area and to have the San Antonio Team joining us this year at the Summit E.T. Finals.”
