Trevor Eman and Team Aruba will be bringing a taste of the Caribbean to North Carolina this weekend when they set up their colorful pit area in preparation for the IHRA Spring Nationals.

Eman, a native of Pos Chiquito on the island of Aruba, is currently the youngest driver in the IHRA’s Elite Motorsports Pro Stock ranks. When not racing Eman attends college in Orlando, Florida, working towards a degree in mechanical engineering.

Eman, a native of Pos Chiquito on the island of Aruba, is currently the youngest driver in the IHRA’s Elite Motorsports Pro Stock ranks. When not racing Eman attends college in Orlando, Florida, working towards a degree in mechanical engineering.

But his mind will be far from the classroom at the “Rock,” as he returns to the historic facility with his sights set on having an impact as he mixes it up with the best drivers in the Elite Motorsports Pro Stock class, home of the quickest and fastest Pro Stock competition in the sport.

“We are all real excited to be back at Rockingham,” Eman said. “The last time we were here was for the World Finals last October, and that weekend we had the quickest and fastest qualified field in the history of IHRA mountain motor Pro Stock racing. The bump was 6.35, and we were proud to be a part of it!

“We qualified twelfth last fall, and on race day we made a couple of good runs and made it to the quarterfinals. We were real happy with that, but of course you always want to do better, and that’s what we plan to do this weekend.

“Rockingham Dragway has a great history, and we love racing there,” Eman said. “Thanks to (track owner) Steve Earwood and IHRA, we are looking forward to not only being a part of the Spring Nationals, but also seeing all of our fans again. We welcome all to come by our pit area and say hello.”
