“We couldn’t make it to Gateway last year because of the chassis update, and it was hard to miss.  We’re only 4 hours from the track, so it’s a local race for me,” Palmer explains.  “So it’s a brand new year, and now we’ve got a brand new car and brand new paint job.  We’ve been cleaning and organizing all winter to make sure everything’s in order and looks good.  We want to start the season off right.”

“Everyone on our team is a big hockey fan, and since St. Louis is home of the Blues, we wanted to wish them a congratulations on their playoff finish this season.  Hopefully we keep some of that momentum going for us!”

At the 2007 Midwest Nationals, Palmer qualified 12th, but fell to David Grubnic in the first round.  Since that race, Palmer has improved his career best ET to 4.57s (1/4 mile) and has been consistently running in the 3.80s and 3.90s in the 1000 ft.

“The consistency is there, it’s just up to us to put it together right before each round and make some good runs.  We just hope we can represent all of our supporters on Sunday!”

With the support of several longtime associate sponsors including Marck Industries, Superlifts, Heckert Construction, Bill Miller Engineering, The Compound, Wizards Warehouse, and Nitroplate, the team is looking to attend at least 12 more races this season.  Palmer credits these supporters, as well as guys like Rob Flynn, Johnny West, Murf McKinney, and even crew members from other teams with the real reason the team is still able to race.
