INCIDENT AT CRUZ PEDREGON SHOP SENDS TEAM INTO CLEAN UP MODE

 

Cruz Pedregon Racing had a scary incident with their race shop on Sunday night. According to a Facebook post, the fire department responded to the race shop after an alarm went off. 

The sprinkler system went off inside the race bay, Pedregon wrote in the post. He said there was no damage to the race equipment. 

“[An] air compressor blew a line,” Caleb Cox, GM of Cruz Pedregon Racing said via text message. “Not sure when. [It] shorted, sparked, and [the] sprinkler system went off. A lot of water.” 

Cox said that the team may spend all day on Monday getting the water out of the shop. He also said that one of the room’s roof may collapse because the amount of water that it’s holding.

“A lot of water to clean up,” Pedregon also said in his post.
