LUCAS OIL RENEWS COMMITMENT TO NHRA DRAG RACING

Lucas Oil is coming back as part of a multi-year agreement with NHRA to back sportsman drag racing. The deal solidifies Lucas Oil’s continued sponsorship of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and its position as the “Official Oil of NHRA.” T

“Lucas Oil has been an integral part of the NHRA for nearly a quarter of a century, and I am proud to announce a new, long-term extension with this remarkable organization,” said Brandon Bernstein, Director of Partnership Marketing for Lucas Oil. “This has always been one of our most cherished motorsports relationships because of the NHRA’s amazing history and its remarkable fanbase. Our sponsorship of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Antron Brown, and at other levels throughout the NHRA reflects our deep dedication to drag racing and the entire motorsports community. We have witnessed some incredible growth in this sport, and I firmly believe 2024 will be one of the most exciting seasons in NHRA’s history.”

The longstanding sponsorship covers various facets, including the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, involvement with three-time Top Fuel world champion Antron Brown, and title rights for major events like the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals and the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals.

Lucas Oil’s commitment goes beyond title sponsorships, extending to naming rights at the iconic Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, home to the prestigious NHRA U.S. Nationals. Their support also encompasses top teams in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, collaborating with drivers and race teams to develop specialized motor oil, gear oil, and fuel treatments tailored for racing conditions.

NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer Brad Gerber expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership, highlighting Lucas Oil’s remarkable commitment to NHRA drag racing over the past two decades.

“We’re thrilled to continue this partnership with Lucas Oil, which has shown an incredible commitment to NHRA drag racing for more than 20 years,” NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer Brad Gerber said. “The entire Lucas family has played a pivotal role for many race teams and drivers across the NHRA, and we’re excited for this relationship to continue well into the future.”

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series schedule, featuring 45 divisional events and 22 regional events, was previously announced. The 2024 season kicks off on Feb. 16-17 at Orlando Speed World Dragway and concludes on Nov. 7-10 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Over 40 of these events will be broadcast for free on NHRA.tv and the NHRA YouTube channel, with the full broadcast schedule set to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
