PRO MOD RACER BIEHLE GOES PINK

NHRA Pro Mod driver Michael Biehle, of North Vernon, Ind., is debuting an all pink ride for his entry in the E3 Sparks Plugs Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service at the AAA NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex.

In addition to his pink turbocharged Mustang, his tow vehicle is also sporting pink and breast cancer awareness ribbons. The decision for Biehle to transition from blue to pink in October is to bring more attention to the issue of breast cancer awareness and to honor all of those who have battled the disease. The pink car and trailer sport several breast cancer awareness ribbons.

Biehle says “breast cancer is an issue very close to my heart, it’s something my mom battled for several years. She beat it, but there are many others that haven’t, and many that are fighting it right now. We want to do what we can to help raise awareness for the disease, in hopes of finding a cure soon.”

This isn’t the first time Biehle’s car has made the switch from blue to pink. It started in 2016 with changing over to pink parachutes, and in 2017 he stepped it up to wrapping his entire car in pink. This year, he wanted to step it up even more by wrapping his trailer, hopefully drawing more people into his pit area to see his ‘67 Pro Line Racing-powered Mustang.

Biehle’s pink car will finish out the season for him, debuting at the AAA NHRA Fall Nationals in Ennis, Texas this weekend, then racing at the Carolina Nationals in Concord, N.C. Oct. 12-14, followed by the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas, Nev. Oct. 25-28, and finally at the Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas Nov. 15-18 to end his 2018 season.
