ROGER BROGDON HAVING $5,000 DRAWING FOR PRO STOCK FANS AT GATORNATIONALS

Fans attending the 50th running of the Gatornationals March 14-17 at Gainesville, Fla., who love NHRA’s Pro Stock class, have a chance to cash in this weekend, thanks to Rodger Brogdon.

Brogdon, who is driving a Chevy Camaro for Elite Motorsports this season, is giving one lucky Pro Stock fan a chance to win $5,000.

To be eligible for the contest and the $5,000 drawing, presented by Rodger Brogdon Racing and RBR Machine, fans must purchase the official 50th anniversary Gatornationals T-shirt. Then, head to the Pro Stock pits and collect as many autographs and pictures as possible. Create a Facebook post with picture of the official shirt signed by at least 8 Pro Stock drivers and pictures of with or of your favorite Pro Stock drivers.

Use #ProStockForLife and tag @brogdonracing Facebook page and @rodgerbrogdonracing on Instagram. Use Friday (March 15) and Saturday (March 16) to collect pictures and autographs, post entry up to two hours after Q4 on Saturday to arrange Sunday logistics. The drawing will take place prior to eliminations on March 17 and you must be present to win.

“We going to pay the winner in $100 bills, that’s going to be cool and better than getting a check,” Brogdon said. “This is the 50th anniversary of the Gatornnationals and it doesn’t get much bigger than the 50th anniversary of the Gatornationals and I wanted to do something. Just a little fan appreciation. One fan will win out of all the entries we get, and entries are the hashtag.”

Brogdon acknowledged his contest also will serve another purpose as well.

“I also wanted to drum up some interest in Pro Stock and tie it all together,” he said. “I want to get fans to the Pro Stock pits, take a lot of pictures with the drivers. There’s so much going on at the Gatornationals I wanted to do something to get the Pro Stock guys some attention.”

Brogdon, who competed in NHRA’s Pro Stock from 2007-2015, returned to the class in 2018 driving a KB Racing Camaro at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston last April.

In the offseason, Brogdon signed on to run a full season in 2019 with Elite Motorsports.

Brogdon has three career NHRA Pro Stock wins in Bristol, Tenn., in 2013; Reading, Pa., (2014) and in Phoenix (2015).

“I’m having a ball right now,” Brogdon said. “My new deal where I have my program structured with Elite, it works perfect for me being so busy. I run my residential roofing company and I have RBR machine where we make a lot of parts for rocket ships and parts for the medical industry and we make parts for anything. I also have plans going on to start my big campground this year. I’m building a big 30-acre campground in Sargent, Texas, three miles from the beach. It is called Sargent Peppers RV Park & Campground. We are going to run buses back and forth from the beach and we are going to have bands, all kinds of stuff. I’m hoping to have that open by the end of 2020. We will have an eight-acre lake, a lot of spots, pavilions for barbequing and a washeteria,  a dog walk, it will have everything you can imagine.”
