SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT IS NEWEST SPONSOR OF MIDWEST JUNIOR SUPER SERIES

Summit Racing Equipment, has joined drag racing’s most prolific series of Junior Dragster competition.

The Midwest Junior Super Series has announced a new partnership in the vast scope of its sponsorship and contingency program with the addition of Summit Racing Equipment as a premiere contributor to the sport’s most comprehensive circuit for youths under the age of eighteen.

Sponsored by Protect The Harvest, the Midwest Junior Super Series, under the direction of Dave Beimfohr, produces a schedule of eight three-day events at major drag racing facilities across the country. Each race presents a total of thirteen different classes of competition for drivers from age five through seventeen. The Marketing Director of the MJSS, three-time NHRA Top Fuel World Champion Antron Brown, announced Summit as the sponsor for one of the group’s most popular categories, the 7.90-second Index Eliminator, which offers the fastest eighth-mile racing in the Junior Dragster sport.

“The 7.90 class is one of the most competitive we offer”, said Brown from his home near Indianapolis, “and it’s the most heavily populated of our four Index-based categories. Traditionally, the division is the last class in which a young driver competes before moving to full-sized racing. To have Summit Racing Equipment put their efforts into that group is a win for everybody involved”.

Beimfohr added, “It’s important to note Summit will not only be sponsoring the 7.90 Index class but they have graciously offered to supply contingent and non-contingent items to racers throughout the MJSS program. Our series offers all-out performance competition, bracket racing, our four Index divisions and even age-specific classes so everybody will benefit”.

Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Manager, and Don Lower, Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Coordinator, both agree the partnership will be advantageous to all involved. “We just opened our fourth retail store to service racers and performance enthusiasts globally but it just makes sense to take care of the next generation on the horizon. The Protect the Harvest MJSS draws thousands of young competitors and their families to these huge events and, certainly, Summit is honored to be involved with the young people who will be the stars of tomorrow’s performance world. Quite simply, they are our future”.
