Top Alcohol Dragster racer James Stevens of Gothenburg, NE., was involved in an on-track incident during the first round of eliminations at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif. 

Stevens’ ’08 CNE dragster went into the sand trap and net. 
Stevens was standing on his own and speaking with safety officials on site. 

Stevens was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
