TAYLOR MOTORSPORTS PRODUCTS MOVING ITS HEADQUARTERS

Dennis Taylor has run a prominent racing safety equipment company – Taylor Motorsports Products - since 1979.

The company, which was founded by Taylor and has been based in Anaheim, Calif., since its inception is moving its headquarters to Albany, Ore., right after the NHRA Auto Club Finals Nov. 12-15 in Pomona, Calif.

“Justin’s family and my family will be doing business out of Oregon and everything will really be the same,” Dennis said. “It will be a different address and such but we will still service our customers in the racing community in the manner that everybody has been accustomed to, it is just a different location.”

In 2013, the population of Albany, Ore., was 51,583. Albany is located just east of Corvallis and south of Salem.

“We have really nice piece of property we bought kind of out in the country, and we have a lake stocked with fish,” Taylor said. “We’re just excited about a little slower pace of life than the big city. It doesn’t mean we are going to work any less or anything like that. It’s just a lifestyle change for us and it was just something it was time for. As long as the UPS man can find us we will be fine since we ship all over the world it doesn’t really matter where we are at.”

Taylor’s company’s involvement isn’t only in drag racing, but he has been instrumental in product development in all types of motorsports.
