Australian drag racing icon Victor Bray is back at full speed once again.

Bray, a multi-time Top Doorslammer champion, has signed Gulf Western Oil, a top name lubricants company to a five-year major sponsorship for his five-car racing operation. 

Gulf Western Oil, the largest Australian-owned manufacturer of lubricants in Australia,  has a comprehensive distributor network throughout Australia, India, Vietnam, China, PNG, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, Kiribati & Samoa. 

Gulf Western's sponsorship will cover both Team Bray Top Doorslammers, two burnout cars, and Ben Bray’s new Sport Compact Toyota Solara. Plans are also in the works for a new Murray Anderson-built car for Victor.

“As well as going to drag racing events, we will also be taking the whole team to a lot more events and appearances across the country – including burn-out shows at Supercar events, the Summernats and selected local shows, as well as appearances at agricultural shows, mining expos and more.

Gulf Western Oil has been involved in the drag racing industry for a number of years, so it was a natural fit to partner with one of the most recognizable names in Australian drag racing.

The new partnership was officially launched on Friday, December 16 at an event attended by more than 150 Gulf Western Oil dealers from all across the country.
