The Virtual Reality Hot Rod Association, a fan-vote drag racing series created by CompetitionPlus.com during the pandemic shutdown, will return on Monday November 30, 2021, for its third season.

The inaugural series featured five events and crowned champions in five professional categories. Defending series champions include TJ Zizzo (Top Fuel), Tim Wilkerson (Funny Car), Bruno Massel (Pro Stock), Steve Johnson (Pro Stock Motorcycle), and Rickie Smith (Pro Modified).

The series was created by CompetitionPlus.com founder Bobby Bennett; ironically, on March 13, 2020, the first day he began to show symptoms of the Covid-19 virus.

"We had such overwhelming support last year, we decided to give it another spin," Bennett said. "There were times of frustration when some tried to push the rules but we did our best to stay on top of it and keep it fair across the board. This engages the fans in downtime and that's what it's all about."

This year, the series will feature nine events campaigned in the virtual world of drag racing strips that no longer exist or host major drag racing events to one fantasy-inspired indoor facility. The competitor list is determined by those who finish in the top 20 of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. Defending champions get a one-time provisional into the field if they didn't finish in the Top 20. 

Reader votes determine the event qualifying and elimination round outcomes. In other words, qualifying and round wins are determined by you, the reader. In some cases, races were determined by five votes or less.
