Top names in street car drag racing are set to compete at Rockingham Dragway this Friday and Saturday for Sick At The Rock, presented by Motion Raceworks. The event will feature a triple challenge format, including a two-day drag-and-drive, Friday night Pro Mods, and class racing inspired by former NMCA/NMRA categories.
Street Outlaws star Jeff Lutz will compete with his Mad Max Camaro in the drag-and-drive category. With over $30,000 in prize money available, Lutz anticipates stiff competition, especially from Tom Bailey’s Sick Seconds 2.0 Camaro, but he is most excited about the family aspect of the event.
“My son got a hold of me about the event and said, ‘we need to go do this,’” said Lutz. “When he suggested it, I said, ‘Hell yeah, let’s do this.’”
Lutz conducted final checks on his Camaro last week and believes he’s ready for the event. “I hadn’t street-driven it yet,” he said. “Then we switched it back to methanol, spooled it up, and all sounded good. I’m ready to get out there and have fun.”
Another participant, Mike Finnegan, will enter the drag-and-drive with his iconic Blasphemi ’55 Chevy gasser. “After completing Sick Week, I’m in love with the car again,” Finnegan said. “I hope it gets more enthusiasts to come out and try a drag-and-drive.”
Finnegan is hopeful that the shorter, two-day format will attract more participants. “I might get with Tom and see if we can get a group to go cruising together Friday evening,” he added.

Lutz and Finnegan will be joined by accomplished drivers such as Devin Vanderhoof and Graham Hayes, who placed second and third, respectively, at Sick Week 2025.
The event will also feature races in Small Tire Pro Stock, Street Race 8.60, Coyote Stock, Nostalgia Super Stock/Muscle Car, and Open Comp for substantial prize money. Racer pre-entries are available on-site, and fans can enjoy Friday night Pro Mods under the lights.
