For Keith Haney, success in drag racing has always come from building — whether it’s a business empire, a racing organization, or a fast car. Now, the Oklahoma businessman and Pro Mod veteran is building with one of NHRA’s most dominant organizations as KB Titan Racing expands its reach with a new Pro Mod program set to debut in 2026.
Haney has joined KB Titan Racing as a partner in ownership, teaming with established leaders Eric Latino, Jim Whiteley, Greg Anderson, and Rob Downing. The partnership represents a major step for the 10-time championship-winning Pro Stock organization as it moves beyond its traditional footprint.
The addition of Haney signals a diversification strategy that mirrors how KB Titan has evolved over the last three seasons. While the Mooresville, North Carolina–based operation has continued its championship-winning pace in Pro Stock, much of its recent focus has been on long-term growth and scalable programs for customer racers.
Haney brings decades of business and racing experience to the group. He owns multiple car dealerships, operates the Mid-West Drag Racing Series, and serves as a co-owner of Tulsa Raceway Park and Tulsa Speedway. His hands-on background in both management and motorsports made him a natural fit for KB Titan’s next phase.
“I’ve seen how the KB Titan operation works, and I’m excited to be part of it,” Haney said. “When this partnership came together and we started talking about the Pro Mod program, I got really excited. Jim, Eric, and myself, we have that passion for Pro Mod, and the structure is in place to take this to the next level.”
That structure includes a plug-and-play style racing model that has helped make KB Titan a powerhouse in Pro Stock. The team’s approach allows drivers to join a professional-level program without needing to own an entire race operation — a system that’s reshaped how racers access top-tier performance.
A new facility is already under construction at the KB Titan campus to house the KBT Pro Mod operation. The building will feature modern equipment and an experienced staff drawn from within the Pro Mod and Pro Stock communities.
Haney said the expansion will also offer enhanced opportunities for marketing partners. “One of the things I’m most excited for is the opportunity to provide exceptional value to the marketing partners that work with KB Titan Racing and KBT Pro Mod,” he said. “When new partners come on board, they won’t just be associated with one car or driver; they’ll be marketed across our whole network and on every car.”
Latino and Whiteley, both racers and entrepreneurs, have helped guide KB Titan’s evolution from a two-car operation into a multi-car, customer-based program. The model has allowed drivers such as Dallas Glenn, Deric Kramer, and Matt Hartford to compete under the same banner while benefiting from shared engineering and engine-leasing options.
Now, that model is being applied to Pro Mod — a class known for its diversity of power combinations and appeal to independent racers. Latino said he sees major potential in bringing KB Titan’s systemized approach to a category that thrives on variety.
“We’re excited to bring Keith on board with us. He brings years of experience, and he lives and breathes drag racing just like we do,” Latino said. “We’re going to do great things together as we expand and strengthen KB Titan Racing and what we offer our marketing partners.”
Latino said the new program will allow Pro Mod racers access to competitive, ready-to-run cars and professional crews without the financial strain of starting from scratch. “What we did with Pro Stock gave drivers the opportunity to jump in a competitive car and race at the highest level without having to make the huge investment of owning an entire race operation,” he said.
“Now, we’re expanding to offer that to drivers who want to race Pro Mod; whether you like nitrous cars, screw blowers, or turbo cars, we’ll have it,” Latino added. “I have truly come to love Pro Stock, and I see a great future there for KB Titan Racing, but I’ve always been a Pro Mod racer. It’s a great class, and I’m looking forward to seeing new drivers come in through the KBT Pro Mod program and fall in love with it, too.”
For KB Titan Racing, the move represents both a business expansion and a philosophical return to the roots of professional drag racing — helping racers of all levels access the sport with top-level equipment and engineering.
Founded by four-time Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson and longtime crew chief Rob Downing, the team has evolved from a single-car operation into a multi-faceted enterprise. The addition of Haney and the creation of KBT Pro Mod reinforces that growth trajectory while maintaining the team’s commitment to performance and professionalism.
With Haney, Latino, Whiteley, Anderson, and Downing aligned on direction, the group plans to begin testing Pro Mod cars under the KBT banner in early 2026. Full competition schedules and driver lineups will be announced at a later date.
As KB Titan Racing enters its next phase, the addition of Haney provides both financial strength and hands-on racing experience. His entrepreneurial background complements the team’s championship legacy, and his deep ties to the Pro Mod community position KB Titan for broader impact across multiple NHRA categories.
“Using that same formula for Pro Mod is going to elevate KB Titan Racing as a whole,” Haney said.
