There will now be two celebrations of life for Roger Richards, the beloved Director of Photography for CompetitionPlus.com. In addition to the one on September 22 in Richards’ hometown of Greer, SC, another will be held on Friday, August 30, at Noon, during the 70th annual NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. 

Thanks to the generosity of the SCAG Racing Team, this ceremony will be held in the Justin Ashley Top Fuel hospitality area. Seating will be limited, 

A few of Richards’ friends, including NHRA announcer and WFO Radio’s Joe Castello, CompetitionPlus.com’s Bobby Bennett, and a few members of the community, will speak. 

Eddie Bauer will represent Racers For Christ and Bennett will speak about the impact Roger had on the NHRA community. It will be an opportunity for the racing community to celebrate and reflect on one of the most beloved and honorable people to have impacted the sport.

The event is open to the drag racing community.
