Respected EFI system tuner Ben Davidow has officially assumed ownership of BigStuff, the pioneering engine management company founded by drag racing legend John Meaney. The ownership transition was completed in December 2021, with Davidow now overseeing the day-to-day operations and the overall business while Meaney continues to guide BigStuff’s next-generation Gen4 Extreme platform.
As part of his strategic vision, Davidow is determined to expand the BigStuff team and enhance customer service for clients worldwide. The company has already taken its first steps in this direction by establishing two offices in North America – one in Southern California and another in Michigan.
Davidow’s deep involvement with BigStuff began in 2003 when he started using the BigStuff3 system. Impressed by Meaney’s work and the platform’s capabilities, Davidow actively sought to contribute to the development of BigStuff’s Gen4 system. Over four years, he frequented Meaney’s facility, gaining invaluable knowledge and a close working relationship with him. The idea of Davidow taking over BigStuff upon Meaney’s retirement was discussed, leading to the agreement between the two.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the opportunity, Davidow shared, “This is an absolute dream come true for me, and I couldn’t be happier with this opportunity. Now that we’re here, my focus is to continue improving the support around our platforms through our West Coast and East Coast teams and dealer network. A big new era for BigStuff has come!”
