During Friday’s opening round of Top Fuel qualifying at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series in Dunn, veteran driver Doug Foley experienced a frightening moment when his dragster lost traction and veered hard into the left wall at Darana Motorsports Park. The car came to rest down track, and Foley emerged under his own power — alert, and responsive as IHRA safety crews arrived. He’s currently being evaluated by onsite medical personnel.
