A great ambassador of drag racing, Kyle Seipel, passed away on June 21, 2021, following a battle with cancer.

Seipel wore many hats in the straight-line sport, doing everything from drag racing, serving as a crew chief, a track operator, and a successful big-money bracket race promoter. Not to mention, he was an outstanding mentor who educated some of the best drag racers in the business.

Seipel got his versatility naturally, as he followed in his father Ted’s footsteps as a drag racer and his mother Georgia’s, who managed Sonoma Raceway.

Seipel was a ten-time NHRA divisional champion and scored 12 national event victories.
