Fuel Altereds will make their debut as part of the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Outlaw Nitro Series at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio.
The exhibition will feature eight invited Fuel Altereds, short-wheelbase machines with deep roots in drag racing history. Two qualifying sessions will set the field before eliminations.
Paul Miller, of the Oliver & Miller AA/Fuel Altered team, welcomed the opportunity to be part of the show. “We look forward to working with the organization and can’t wait to join the IHRA with this new class,” Miller said.

IHRA Vice President Doug Foley said the addition highlights the sport’s early innovation and fan appeal. “Fuel Altereds are a living piece of the sport — big power, short wheelbase, and nothing cookie-cutter about them,” Foley said. “Bringing this class to Dragway 42 lets fans experience the attitude and ingenuity that helped shape drag racing, up close and on the track.”
The Fuel Altereds will run alongside the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series with appearances throughout the weekend. Qualifying sessions are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, with a cacklefest in the pits adding to the program.
Entries for the eight-car Fuel Altered field will be announced in the days leading up to the event. Fans can expect multiple opportunities to see the cars on track and in the pits as part of the Dragway 42 weekend showcase.
