The IHRA revealed its national event announcing team for the 2026 season through a social media post, outlining a rotating lineup built around established voices in drag racing. The organization named Alan Reinhart, Al Tucci, Mike English and Brent Carver as the primary announcers set to deliver coverage across the tour.

The announcement signals IHRA’s intent to blend technical expertise with entertainment value as the sanctioning body continues to reshape its national event presentation. Officials emphasized that the group’s collective experience spans multiple eras of Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock competition.

Reinhart brings more than three decades of national event experience and a reputation as one of the sport’s most technically informed broadcasters. His background includes work that ranges from in-depth engine discussions to analysis of clutch management strategies.

Beginning his announcing career at Firebird Raceway in the late 1980s, Reinhart transitioned to national events in 1991 and developed a following through his “Ask Alan” segments. He also maintains a media presence as host of The Alan Reinhart Show on CompetitionPlusTV.

Tucci, often identified as a defining voice in doorslammer racing, has been closely associated with major Pro Modified events and series. His tenure includes serving as the primary announcer for the World Series of Pro Mod since 2017.

Known for his spontaneous commentary and commanding delivery, Tucci has also worked with the Professional Drag Racers Association and prominent radial tire events. The Chicago native began his announcing career in the late 1980s, covering multiple motorsports before focusing primarily on drag racing.

Mike English adds depth with a résumé built around Heritage-style events and traditional nitro showcases. His work at venues such as the Bakersfield March Meet and the California Hot Rod Reunion has reinforced his reputation for blending historical perspective with race-day analysis.

English’s role within the IHRA structure is expected to highlight the sport’s connection to its roots while maintaining focus on contemporary competition. His experience covering nostalgia categories provides additional context for fans following evolving formats within Top Fuel and Funny Car racing.

Brent Carver rounds out the team with a focus on professionalism and a racer-first approach that aligns with IHRA’s stated priorities. He most recently served as emcee for the sanctioning body’s press conferences at the PRI Show and is scheduled to announce at the Spring Fling Million event.

Carver has built his profile through consistent event presentation and emphasis on competitor engagement. His inclusion reflects IHRA’s effort to maintain continuity between promotional efforts and race-day execution.

IHRA officials indicated the group will rotate across events to provide consistent coverage throughout the season. The structure is designed to balance storytelling, technical insight and audience connection at national events.

“These legendary announcers will rotate across events, bringing decades of experience, unmatched energy, and incredible storytelling to race fans nationwide,” IHRA said in a statement. “From the staging lanes to the winner’s circle, they’ll guide fans through every thrilling moment of the action and keep the intensity high all season long.”
