The NHRA and JEGS have announced a multi-year extension for the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals, which will move to South Georgia Motorsports Park in 2025. The event is scheduled for July 9-10 and will kick off JEGS SPEEDweek, running July 11-12. It replaces the event originally scheduled for National Trail Raceway outside of Columbus, Ohio.
The transition to South Georgia Motorsports Park will enhance the tradition of the JEGS SPORTSnationals, strengthening the partnership between JEGS and NHRA. “JEGS is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the NHRA through 2028,” said JEGS CEO Gabe Mendoza.
With this extension, JEGS aims to expand its presence in the motorsports community. “For more than six decades, JEGS has been a trusted name for enthusiasts, racers, and builders across the automotive world,” Mendoza added.
The 2025 event is expected to attract hundreds of competitors from all seven NHRA divisions. Drivers will compete for substantial payouts in eight categories, making it one of the marquee weekends of the sportsman season.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to host the SPORTSnationals at SGMP,” said SGMP Owner Raul Torres. “Our team works tirelessly for opportunities like this so we can continue to prove ourselves in the industry we love.”
In celebration of its 65th anniversary, JEGS will have a strong presence on and off the track during the event. The week will include a racer appreciation breakfast and continue with Stock and Super Stock Class Eliminations, along with special shootouts.
Winners at the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals will receive a one-of-a-kind copper Wally trophy, adding prestige to the event. Champions who win consecutive years will also receive the exclusive JEGS Crown Trophy.
“We’re excited to see that continue in Valdosta,” said NHRA Vice President Brad Gerber. “This doubleheader event has a bright future at South Georgia Motorsports Park under JEGS’ support.”
