Mike Finnegan will make his third appearance of the year at Sick On The Green this weekend at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Kentucky. The event takes place this Friday and Saturday.

Finnegan, known for his ’55 Chevy Gasser named Blasphemi, secured two class wins at Sick At The Rock in April during the Sick Street Car Challenge. “Blasphemi has been getting better and we’ve been learning what works,” he said.

Finnegan aims to keep Blasphemi in the mid-eight second zone on the quarter-mile while also enjoying some local attractions. “I haven’t ridden the coaster in a while, so I’m excited to head back,” he said. “I’ve never been to the waterpark either!”

He will be joined by his family, including his son, who participated in Sick At The Rock. “I think he’ll want to do the cruise with me again. Not my wife though, she has standards,” Finnegan added.

Much of his focus this year has been on preparing for the Edelbrock Sick Smokies, which will spotlight Gassers. “I hope to see more Gassers in Kentucky,” he said.

Finnegan is among over 150 racers in various classes, including Lil Gangstas and Small Tire Pro Stock. The event kicks off with testing on Thursday, qualifying at 10 a.m. Friday, and racing at 10 a.m. Saturday. Racer entries and spectator tickets are available online and at the gate.
