Officials announced today that VP Racing Fuels, Inc. will serve as the exclusive “Official Racing Fuel of NHRA” beginning with the 2025 season. This long-term agreement coincides with VP Racing’s 50th anniversary.

VP Racing will provide nitromethane to Top Fuel and Funny Car teams in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Its C-25 Racing Fuel will be the official spec fuel for Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle teams, with additional VP fuels for the Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown and Holley EFI Factory X category.

“VP Racing is thrilled to be the Official Racing Fuel of the National Hot Rod Association,” said Bruce Hendel, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for VP Racing. He noted that VP was founded on improving fuel for drag racing and has a history with NHRA spanning over 40 years.

The partnership will fuel 11,000-horsepower nitro machines reaching speeds over 330 mph. VP Racing has fueled racing across various terrains since its founding in 1975.

The 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series opens March 6-9 with the NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway, marking the beginning of a 20-race schedule.

VP Racing Fuels will have exclusive sales at every NHRA national event and utilize various in-venue marketing strategies. These include inflatables, signage, and digital and social media opportunities.

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with VP Racing Fuels, and we’re excited to introduce them as the Official Racing Fuel of NHRA,” said NHRA Vice President and Chief Development Officer Brad Gerber. He highlighted VP’s rich history in the NHRA and expressed enthusiasm for the future of their partnership in light of the 2025 season and the NHRA’s 75th anniversary in 2026.

VP Racing Fuels replaces Sonoco, who held the role dating back to 2015.
