Sick Week 2025 concluded at South Georgia Motorsports Park with competitors showcasing their performance after an 850-mile trek through Georgia and Florida. The all-concrete surface delivered record-setting times as participants continually improved their best efforts throughout the final day.

 

Brett LaSala set a new Sick Week record with an average time of 6.241 seconds, winning the Unlimited category. LaSala recorded his fastest pass at 6.079 seconds and received an electric guitar and Sick orange helmet from Rick Johnson of Gear Vendors Overdrive.

 

“I feel great, top of the world. Jim Braun and I put in a lot of work, effort, mental thought, and lack of rest, but we got it done,” LaSala said.

 

Ed Ensor also made headlines by breaking the world record for naturally aspirated combinations with a 7.096 average over five days, surpassing his previous mark of 7.46. “The passion and the challenge to do it naturally aspirated is where I fit in,” Ensor said.

 

In the Modified class, Josh Davis earned his second Sick event win with an average time of 6.577 seconds. Graham Hayes secured victory in Unlimited Iron with a 6.49 average after converting his 1966 Chevrolet Nova from nitrous to twin turbos.

 

Nick Reinhart captured the Heavy Metal title with a class record average of 6.930 seconds in his 1967 Chevrolet Nova. Glenn Hunter’s 7.017 average in his ’56 Chevrolet Bel Air also garnered him a victory in the Pro Street class.

 

In the Super Street class, Bob Hess Jr. emerged as champion, overcoming early challenges to record a 7.453 average. Darin Hendricks, racing his 1993 Mustang Cobra in his first drag-and-drive event, took the Stick Shift class with an 8.825 average.

 

Jamie Doller dominated the Rowdy Radial class with a 4.992 average in his 1971 Chevrolet Camaro. Additionally, Cooper Bogetti claimed his first victory in Sick Week Freaks, averaging 8.847 seconds in his 1999 Camaro.

 

Randy Seward won the Street Race 275 class for the second consecutive year, averaging 8.506 seconds in his 1991 Mustang. Kevin Bolger topped the Sick Street Race class with an average of 8.583 seconds in his 1987 Buick Regal.

 

Jeremy Bonnett secured the Gassers vs Hot Rods vs Beetles class title with an 8.888 average in his 1933 Willys. Azeem Sheikh and Will Stoneberg won the Pro DYO and DYO classes respectively, bringing consistency to their racing performances.

 

Looking ahead, Sick Week sets the stage for a variety of events in 2025, including Sick Summer and Sick Michigan Miles.
