Revchem Composites has deepened its investment in Ron Capps Motorsports, extending a multi-year partnership that now spans both of the team’s NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series entries. The expanded agreement places the company’s branding on Maddi Gordon’s Carlyle Tools Top Fuel dragster alongside Ron Capps’ NAPA Auto Care Funny Car.
The move comes as Ron Capps Motorsports transitions into a two-car operation in 2026, a shift that has already produced early results. Gordon has reached consecutive semifinal rounds in her first two Top Fuel appearances, while Capps recently secured his 78th career victory at Firebird Motorsports Park.
The timing underscores how infrastructure and technical partnerships can define performance in modern drag racing. It also reinforces how teams leaning into depth — not just speed — are positioning themselves for sustained success.
Revchem, which first partnered with the organization in 2023, supplies advanced composite materials critical to maintaining and repairing 12,000-horsepower race cars. In a category where machines regularly exceed 330 mph, durability and turnaround time can dictate whether a team survives a weekend or fades early.
That reality was on full display during the Arizona Nationals, where Capps’ Funny Car suffered a violent engine explosion that demanded immediate and extensive body repair. Situations like that highlight why behind-the-scenes partners often play as vital a role as those in the cockpit.
“Revchem has been an incredible partner for our team, and it means a lot to have them continue with us as we expand to two cars this season,” said Capps, now a fifth-year team owner/driver, who picked up career win No. 78 at Firebird Motorsports Park outside of Phoenix earlier this month. “What they bring to the table goes far beyond just products. Their knowledge, support, and commitment to what we’re doing makes a real difference for our guys, and our outing in Phoenix was a perfect example of that. We had an engine explosion during second round on race day that required extensive body repairs on my Funny Car. Not only are we utilizing their raw materials to have both bodies back in competition form before the team heads out to Pomona, but Revchem also assists us with newer technology, which helps lead to better repairs. Of course, no one sends their car down the track with the expectation that there will be some sort of issue, but the reality is, these are nitro-burning beasts, and things do happen on occasion. Having Revchem on board with both our Funny Car and Maddi’s Top Fuel team gives us a lot of confidence as we continue building this program.”
Beyond repairs, the collaboration reflects a broader technical alignment as teams look for incremental advantages across a 20-race season. Composite technology has become a quiet differentiator, influencing everything from body integrity to turnaround efficiency between rounds.
Revchem’s expanded presence also increases its visibility during NHRA’s 75th anniversary season. With Capps chasing another championship and Gordon emerging as a Rookie of the Year contender, the partnership gains both competitive and marketing significance.
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Ron Capps Motorsports and continue supporting such an incredible team,” said Britton Dennis, President of Revchem Composites. “Working with Ron and the entire RCM organization has been immensely rewarding, and we’re especially excited to welcome Maddi Gordon as she begins her Top Fuel career. We’re looking forward to another strong season with Ron, Maddi, and the whole RCM team.”
In a sport where performance margins are measured in thousandths and survival often hinges on preparation, partnerships like this rarely stay in the background for long. As Capps’ Phoenix rebound showed, the difference between disaster and a return run can come down to what happens in the shop as much as what happens on the track.
