Word is, a Carolina-based dragstrip with deep roots in NHRA, IHRA, and AHRA lore is on the series’ radar as a possible site for the second stop on the 2026 Countdown to the Championship.

 

If the whispers hold true, the return of this historic facility would mark the third new track added to the NHRA national event tour — and perhaps the most nostalgic comeback of them all. Stay tuned… this one could light up the scoreboard.
