FS Performance and Sam Pack Ford have partnered with NHRA Funny Car driver Buddy Hull to produce a limited-edition Ford Mustang bearing Hull’s name and performance vision. The specialty car debuted Tuesday at the Sam Pack Ford dealership in North Dallas, where Hull’s full-size Nitro Funny Car is also on display.

The collaboration links a current NHRA competitor with a dealer-based performance build aimed at street-legal horsepower and motorsports styling. The Mustang is positioned as both a retail vehicle and a fan-facing extension of Hull’s racing program.

Hull said he was directly involved in shaping the build, from power output to visual details. He described the project as an opportunity to translate the look and mindset of his Funny Car operation into a production-based platform.

“This was an amazing opportunity to partner with Sam Pack Ford to design a killer Mustang,” Hull said. “I was able to sit in and give them ideas on the performance levels of the Mustang as well as styling suggestions to make it very personal to my brand. This is a one-of-a-kind Mustang and I can’t wait to hand it over to a lucky customer.”

The vehicle is based on a 2025 Mustang GT Premium powered by Ford’s 5.0-liter Coyote engine. FS Performance handled the build, integrating a Whipple Stage 2 supercharger system and related upgrades that elevate output to approximately 875 horsepower.

Beyond straight-line power, the Mustang incorporates suspension, exhaust, and tire components selected to match the added performance. The goal, according to those involved, was a balanced package that reflects Hull’s professional racing background while remaining street-driven.

Visually, the Buddy Hull Edition Mustang features a custom satin black wrap and FS Performance × Buddy Hull graphics package. Carbon fiber components are used throughout the interior and exterior, paired with a stitched interior treatment carrying Hull’s name.

The build rides on Project 6GR custom wheels wrapped in 305-series Toyo R888R tires. Additional exterior elements include an RTR molded front splitter and motorsports-inspired aerodynamic accents.

Underneath, the car is fitted with a Roush adjustable handling suspension kit. A Corsa Xtreme full exhaust system completes the drivetrain modifications, delivering increased flow and a more aggressive exhaust note.

The vehicle is sold with a five-year, unlimited-mile warranty, a detail emphasized by the dealership as part of the specialty offering. Sam Pack Ford officials have positioned the car as a limited, showroom-ready performance package rather than a one-off concept.

Fans and potential buyers can view both the Mustang and Hull’s Nitro Funny Car at the dealership. As part of the purchase, the buyer will be allowed to sit in the cockpit of Hull’s 12,000-horsepower Funny Car.

Hull said the experience is designed to connect the street car to the realities of professional nitro racing. The buyer will also receive an autograph from Hull on the vehicle.

“The person who gets the Buddy Hull Mustang will also get a once in a lifetime experience of sitting in my Nitro Funny Car,” Hull said. “Someone will get the most high horsepower experience and drive away in a killer Mustang.”

Hull has competed in the NHRA Funny Car category with an independent operation, balancing racing commitments with sponsor and fan engagement. The Mustang project represents an extension of that effort into the automotive retail space.

FS Performance officials said Hull’s hands-on input helped guide the build toward a cohesive final product. The company has previously worked on high-horsepower street vehicles but noted the added visibility that comes with an NHRA-backed collaboration.

Sam Pack Ford and Hull said the Mustang will not be the final project under the partnership. Plans are already in motion for additional Buddy Hull Edition vehicles, including supercharged Ford F-150 trucks and Bronco models.

Those future offerings are expected to follow a similar formula, combining forced induction with custom styling and interior details tied to Hull’s brand. Specific specifications and release timing have not yet been announced.

The dealership said more information on upcoming Buddy Hull Edition vehicles will be released in the coming months. Hull said the long-term aim is to create high-performance vehicles that mirror the discipline and identity of his racing operation.

“This is about delivering real performance with my name on it,” Hull said. “It’s something people can drive every day and still feel connected to what we do at the racetrack.”
