South Georgia Motorsports Park has announced a new Legacy Lane Wall capital improvement project that allows fans, racers, and businesses to support the facility by purchasing personalized bricks. Proceeds from the effort will fund upgrades at the dragstrip located outside Valdosta.

The Legacy Lane Wall will feature customized bricks and serve as a centerpiece for special events and fan celebrations. Supporters can purchase terracotta bricks for $200 or black granite tiles for $250, each measuring 8 inches by 8 inches.

“We have been blessed to have great supporters, and we wanted to provide an opportunity for everyone to own a small piece of the South Georgia Motorsports Park,” said track owner Raul Torres. “Our goal is to continue to make permanent improvements that will make everyone’s experience even more enjoyable. We have major plans for South Georgia Motorsports Park and the Legacy Lane Wall bricks and plaques will be a major part of our future projects.”

Raul and his wife, Jennifer, purchased South Georgia Motorsports Park in 2023 with the goal of preserving its place in drag racing history. Since then, the couple has focused on improvements for both fans and racers.

“One of the biggest reasons we decided to take on South Georgia Motorsports Park is because of the wonderful community that was a part of it,” Torres said. “We’ve heard the calls of people and businesses who want to pitch in and help keep the dream of SGMP alive, but they only have a certain amount they can contribute. The Legacy Lane Wall is a way for all parts of our support system to play a role in our success.”

A limited number of bricks will be sold over the next 60 days, with select purchasers randomly chosen to receive prizes or free tickets to upcoming events. Under the Torres’ ownership, the track has seen renewed interest through bracket racing and specialty events.
