Randy Weatherford earned his first Pro Boost win since 2021 at the PDRA Northern Nationals on Saturday at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park. Weatherford, who qualified No. 1, ran 3.578 seconds at 211.07 mph in his WS Construction ’21 Camaro after Ty Tutterow fouled by .017 seconds in the final.

Other professional winners included Amber Denton in Pro Nitrous, Ethan Steding in Pro Street, Jeremy Huffman in Extreme Pro Stock and Jeff Melnick in Pro 632.

Weatherford praised tuner Dustin Hart’s work with a new centrifugal supercharger. “We came here to prove a point,” Weatherford said. “We’re not out, we’re not dead. We’re back. Now I know I can run with these guys. I can stay right there with them.”

Denton captured her first Pro Nitrous win in a final-round matchup with her father, three-time champion Tommy Franklin. Both drivers had engine issues earlier in the day, and Denton’s borrowed-engine Camaro edged Franklin by .006 seconds with a 5.44 at 147.49 to Franklin’s 5.468 at 149.01.

“I’ve dreamed about getting to a final with my dad since I could remember, and it’s definitely not the way we imagined it,” Denton said. “I got up here and I got strapped in and I took a second and just soaked it all in because it was awesome.”

Defending Pro Street champion Ethan Steding beat points leader Blake Denton with a career-best 3.888 at 194.55 in his roots‑blown P2 Contracting ’24 Camaro. Denton slowed to a 3.972 at 193.80.

Extreme Pro Stock points leader Alan Drinkwater won his second straight race, defeating No. 1 qualifier Jeremy Huffman. Drinkwater left first and posted a 4.114 at 176.96 in his Kaase‑powered Flatout Gaskets ’08 Mustang as Huffman slowed to 4.537 at 165.81.

Sportsman winners were Bryan LaFlam (Elite Top Sportsman), Al Peavler (Elite Top Dragster), Gary Kintz (Top Sportsman) and Chaz Silance (Top Dragster). Alayna Thompson won Pro Jr. Dragster, and Knox Schween claimed Classic Graphix Top Jr. Dragster.
