It's hard to believe it's been 16 years since Coalburg Racing Promotions started the World FootBrake Challenge. Over the years, the event has been attended by racers far and wide and always showcases the best of the best in the footbrake drag racing world. It's been termed as the bracket racing worlds own version of speed week. Started 4 years ago, this ginormous payout event has become the corner stone of the SFG Promotions year. There are three $50K to win events, 2 split over 2 days and 1 on Monday as the kickoff event of the week of racing at US 131 Motorsports Park outside Martin Michigan.

The tradition of big money bracket racing at Byron Dragway continued last weekend with the running of the 23rd Firecracker Bracket Nationals.
Held over three days, with $100,000 to win on Saturday, and $30,000 each on Friday and Sunday, the Firecrackers are exclusive due to the limited number of entry slots available.
