RELATED STORY – ALAN REINHART DEPARTS NHRA
Well. that didn’t take long.
Just two days after announcing he’d declined to renew his contract with NHRA, veteran announcer Alan Reinhart will be the new Vice President of Racing Operations for the rejuvenated International Hot Rod Association. (IHRA).
Reinhart, a well-known figure in drag racing, brings decades of announcing experience from major national events.
Reinhart’s primary focus will be collaborating with new IHRA President Rich Schaefer to establish racing schedules. He will also serve as a liaison for professional teams and engage with track operators and other stakeholders.
“I’m looking forward to a new challenge,” Reinhart said. “The opportunity to take on this new venture at a management level, it was time for a change.”
With over 30 years in the sport, Reinhart plans to leverage his extensive experience gained from national events to weekend bracket races. He learned what works best for racers and how to ensure events run smoothly.
In his new role, Reinhart will be involved in setting policies and procedures for IHRA. Fans can contact him via email at announcer@ihra.com to ask questions about various race procedures.
