Matthew Alvey led the Competition Eliminator field with a 0.611-second performance under his H/AA index, setting the pace as Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competition at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla. Alvey’s 8.569-second run narrowly edged James Greenheck atop the category.

Greenheck followed closely with a 7.601-second pass that was 0.609 seconds under the E/AA index. Jared Kimbrough secured the third position with a 7.323-second run that was 0.577 under the C/ED index.

Glen Treadwell placed fourth with a 7.764-second pass that was 0.576 under the M/AA index. Wes Leopold completed the top five with a 7.895-second run that was 0.575 under the A/SMA index.

Peter D’Agnolo secured the sixth position with an 8.442-second run that was 0.528 under the E/SMA index. Rodger Brogdon followed in seventh with a 7.859-second pass that was 0.521 under the B/SR index.

John Frech placed eighth with an 8.067-second run that was 0.493 under the F/D index. David Eaton secured ninth with a 6.715-second pass that was 0.465 under the A/AP index.

Frank Affronti rounded out the top ten with an 8.503-second run that was 0.447 under the D/SMA index.

Chelsea Tindle led the Super Stock field with a 9.551-second pass that was 1.099 seconds under the GT/IA index. Her performance placed her ahead of Don Barber, who ran 8.914 seconds and finished 1.086 under the FGT/E index.

Jeff Adkinson secured the third position with a 9.120-second pass that was 1.080 under the FSS/F index. Kevin Helms followed in fourth with a 9.036-second run that was 1.014 under the FSS/E index.

Troy Huntzberry completed the top five with a 9.689-second run that was 1.011 under the SS/IA index. David Collette placed sixth with a 9.047-second pass that was 1.003 under the FSS/E index.

David Sidlo held seventh with a 9.801-second run that was 0.999 under the GT/JA index. David Barton followed in eighth with an 8.917-second pass that was 0.983 under the FSS/D index.

Mark Alvey and Ronnie Dutton completed the top ten positions in the Super Stock standings.

Doug Duell led the Stock Eliminator field with a 10.340-second pass that was 1.060 seconds under the C/SA index. Duell’s performance placed him ahead of Jimmy Hidalgo, who ran 11.004 seconds to finish 0.996 under the G/SA index.

Bob Bender secured the third position with a 12.159-second pass that was 0.991 under the O/SA index. David Latino followed in fourth with a 10.412-second run that was 0.988 under the C/SA index.

David Barton completed the top five with a 9.314-second pass that was 0.986 under the FS/C index. Jim Marshall placed sixth with an 11.333-second run that was 0.967 under the I/SA index.

Jay Storey, Bryan Heath, Terry Hembree and Sterling Simmons rounded out the top ten positions in the Stock Eliminator order.

In Top Sportsman competition, Glenn Butcher led the field with a 6.158-second run at 230.25 mph in his Camaro. Butcher narrowly edged Darian Boesch, who ran 6.286 seconds at 228.34 mph.

Vince Hoda secured the third position with a 6.452-second pass at 217.74 mph. Jeff Brooks followed in fourth with a 6.488-second run at 215.89 mph.

Rich Smith completed the top five with a 6.505-second pass at 212.86 mph.

Steve Furr led the Top Dragster field with a 6.105-second run at 230.17 mph. Furr’s performance placed him ahead of Ross Laris, who ran 6.128 seconds at 233.08 mph.

Holden Laris secured the third position with a 6.134-second pass at 228.92 mph. J.R. Baxter followed in fourth with a 6.157-second run.

Robert May completed the top five with a 6.159-second performance at 226.28 mph.

Melanie Johnson led the Top Alcohol Dragster field after the opening qualifying session with a 5.276-second pass at 271.95 mph. Johnson narrowly edged Jamie Noonan, who ran 5.284 seconds at 272.01 mph.

Joey Severance secured the third position with a 5.299-second run at 271.57 mph. Angelle Sampey followed in fourth with a 5.329-second pass at 275.39 mph.

Matthew Cummings completed the top five with a 5.363-second run at 266.69 mph.

In Top Alcohol Funny Car qualifying, Sean Bellemeur led the field with a 5.491-second run at 265.64 mph in his Camaro. Chris Foster secured second with a 5.509-second pass at 266.42 mph.

Doug Gordon followed in third with a 5.617-second run at 263.41 mph. Phil Esz and Mick Steele rounded out the Top Alcohol Funny Car order as Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competition opened for the 2026 season.
