The SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout will return to Bradenton Motorsports Park from February 6-8, 2025. The event features professional Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock drag racing teams aiming to entertain fans and set new records.

American Rebel Andy Ross will perform a closing concert with his band during the event. The concert, which is free for all participants and fans, is being promoted through a pre-event media tour and social media outreach.

Last year’s inaugural event showcased thrilling side-by-side racing and a unique chip draw elimination format. The addition of Ross aims to enhance the entertainment experience for fans.

“The PRO Superstar Shootout is the Pro Bowl of the drag racing season,” said Ross. “The Saturday night closing concert will be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to hit the stage. American Rebel Light Beer will be featured at the track during the race weekend, marking our entrance into a new market.”

Alan Johnson, president of PRO, emphasized the event’s significance to motorsports fans. “Our goal is to provide a unique event and get fans excited for the 2025 NHRA season,” he said. “Last year’s event boasted impressive victories, and we aim to replicate that excitement this year.”

Qualifying will take place on Thursday and Friday, with chip draws determining the elimination round matchups for the top eight competitors on Saturday. The format includes random draws for subsequent rounds, adding an element of unpredictability.

Bob Tasca III expressed enthusiasm for the event’s unique format. “We want this race to have a different feel than a traditional national event. The fans loved the unpredictability.”

Additional racing classes such as Top Sportsman, Stock, and Super Stock will also be featured. The event will include autograph sessions, driver Q&As, and other fan engagement activities.
