Australia’s Parente family is planning a comeback in Australia’s 400-inch Pro Stock division. They will return to the track with a new Camaro from RJ Race Cars and engine program with Reher & Morrison.
Gerry Parente, the patriarch of the family-owned race team, also hired mountain motor Pro Stock driver Cale Aronson and wife Tinzy, to assist them at the VPW Pro Series 1000 event in Adelaide, South Australia, March 14 – 15.

Parente is no stranger to Australian Pro Stock having raced considerably in the 1990s and 2000s. However, once the South Australian tracks began to close, Parente parked his operation to focus on business interests that included retail gas sales and automated car washes. He also remained close to the sport through building engines and a dyno-tuning business.
With his sons Silvio, Michael, and Christian, beginning to take an active role in the team, Gerry and wife Mary are prepared to have fun again as a family.
