Antron Brown, a three-time NHRA world champion, will share his journey of faith as he hosts the annual SEMA Show Prayer Breakfast alongside Barry “Mr. Shine” Meguiar on November 6 in Las Vegas. The event will take place from 7-8:30 a.m. at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, with doors opening at 6:30 a.m.
“The glory truly does always go to God,” Brown said. “I was humbled when SEMA and PRI leadership asked if I would be willing to speak at the Prayer Breakfast and immediately said ‘yes.’”
Brown, who has 79 career NHRA wins, gives thanks to God after each race, prioritizing safety over success. He explained that his prayers, often seen with the Racer’s for Christ (RFC) team, focus on the well-being of competitors and fans rather than requests for victory.
Now in its third year, the SEMA Show Prayer Breakfast has featured notable speakers, including NFL Hall of Famer Steve Largent and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. The event is donor-funded and free to attend; to RSVP, visit https://theprayerbreakfast.com/#rsvp.
“In my opinion, the Prayer Breakfast is the highlight of SEMA week,” Meguiar said. “You can escape the noise of the busy show floor to meet fellow believers from all parts of the automotive aftermarket, build friendships, encourage each other, pray for our industry, and hear powerful and inspirational messages from folks like Antron.”
Brown ranks second in NHRA Top Fuel wins with 63 and sits sixth on the all-time round wins list with 847 victories. He has also won 16 races in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category and earned 50 poles, with a category-best five Top Fuel wins this season as he pursues a fourth NHRA championship.
