Wes Buck, founder of Drag Illustrated, announced a new trading card program aimed at enhancing fan engagement for Pro Mod racing. The inaugural set will highlight the athletes and the competitive drama of the World Series of Pro Mod.

“Fans want the heroes, the behind-the-scenes stories, and that genuine interactive hobby experience,” Buck said. The collection will feature autograph cards, short-print chase cards, and special parallels to connect fans to the sport.

The initial launch will include champions Mike Bowman (2017), Carl Stevens Jr. (2018), Scotty Oksas (2019), Spencer Hyde (2023), Derek Ward (2024), and Steve King (2025). Future expansions are planned to showcase emerging talent and memorable highlights.

Buck envisions the trading card line evolving annually with new designs and driver highlights. “It’s not just about one-and-done,” he said, emphasizing growth and longevity in the program.

The initiative aims to attract younger fans and make the thrill of drag racing accessible to a broader audience. Through interesting inserts, autographed memorabilia, and interactive features, the trading cards will foster engagement for both newcomers and long-time enthusiasts.

Final distribution details are pending, but the first wave of trading cards is expected later this year.
