Neal Chance Racing Converters has made available to the drag racing community their new PowerPump converter. After months of successful testing, according to the company, this product is ready to take drag racing to the next level.
What makes the PowerPump an efficient unit? It’s an efficient fluid transfer that has made all the difference. Neal Chance Racing Converters sees the positive pump angle in a torque converter to be similar to base in a clutch. The more positive pump fin angle one has, the more power transfer a racer will have.
The pump impeller in the PowerPump converter provides more base,+ like in a clutch, with less of a positive angle. This results in an increase in power transfer potential.
The first testing was done in Kenny Hubbard’s X275 car. Not only was the car faster, he went out and won four straight major events. Kenny was so happy with the performance that he requested one for his daughter Kayla’s Ultra Street car. After installing it, she promptly went out and won her first event as well.
Neal Chance Racing Converters has had very good success testing in blown Pro Mod applications but has agreed to keep those results private until the PRI Show.
