The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series has released its schedule for the 2025 season, which includes stops at premier racing venues throughout the United States. The season will feature 45 divisional events and 21 regional events.
Competition kicks off from Feb. 20-23 at Firebird Motorsports Park in Phoenix and from Feb. 21-22 at Orlando Speed World Dragway. The season culminates with the finale scheduled for Nov. 6-9 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
A total of 15 double divisional events are planned, increasing from previous seasons, along with two SPORTSnationals races. Special Top Alcohol categories will compete at three major events, including the Cleetus and Cars event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on May 2-3.
The summer will see racing during the Night Under Fire on August 1-2 and the Firebird Fall Shootout on October 24-25. For the first time, a doubleheader divisional event will be held at a notable location, while World Wide Technology Raceway will host two double divisional events.
Several double divisional races will schedule around NHRA national events to facilitate racer travel and improve efficiency. “We are excited to see the 2025 Lucas Oil Divisional Series schedule get released,” said Lucas Oil Director of Partnership Marketing Brandon Bernstein.
The Laris Motorsports Insurance Cajun NHRA SPORTSnationals returns to No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., from March 14-16. This event offers a unique atmosphere of high-caliber racing popular among fans.
The JEGS SPORTSnationals is slated for July 9-10 at National Trail Raceway, coinciding with JEGS SPEEDWeek. Following the SPORTSnationals, divisional and regional races will take place on July 11-12.
The series will also feature 21 regional events showcasing Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car classes. Fans can expect to witness cars exceeding 250 mph at various tracks throughout the nation.
As in previous years, NHRA will stream several divisional races live on NHRA.tv and the NHRA YouTube page during the 2025 season. A complete broadcast schedule will be available in the coming weeks.
“We look forward to another fantastic season of racing in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series,” NHRA President Glen Cromwell said. “The Lucas family has played an instrumental role in the success of our sportsman series, which continues to thrive at NHRA Member Tracks nationwide.”
