The National Hot Rod Association has teamed up with GameMill Entertainment and Concrete Software to develop the official NHRA Drag Racing mobile game, set to launch globally on iOS and Android platforms in the summer of 2026.

The title will showcase NHRA’s 75-year legacy, bringing the speed, strategy, and intensity of professional drag racing to players’ smartphones. It aims to capture the authentic sights and sounds of nitro-powered racing while appealing to both seasoned fans and new audiences.

“You’ve heard the roar. You’ve smelled the nitro. You’ve lived the rush. Now it’s coming to your phone,” said Keith Pichelman, CEO of Concrete Software. “We are honored to partner with the NHRA to deliver an authentic experience that celebrates the sport’s legacy while making it exciting and accessible to racing fans and gamers everywhere.”

The mobile game will feature NHRA stars, Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars, and legendary vehicles from the organization’s history. Players will be able to build cars, assemble pit crews, and tune combinations to maximize performance using realistic staging and shifting mechanics that reward timing and precision.

Unlike most racing apps, the NHRA title is designed around authentic drag racing culture while appealing to a broader motorsports gaming audience. Players can expect a mix of competition, customization, and community interaction that mirrors the energy of the dragstrip.

Among the key features are strategic car and crew building, skill-based shifting, legendary vehicles, and current NHRA stars and tracks. The developers said the game will also serve as a fan hub where users can share memories, milestones, and stories about NHRA drag racing.

NHRA President Glen Cromwell said the project represents the organization’s commitment to both authenticity and innovation as it prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary. “This project has been about honoring the authenticity of the NHRA and giving fans a mobile game that reflects their dedication and passion for NHRA drag racing,” Cromwell said. “As we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this experience to life.”
