The Nitro Harley racing season kicks off this weekend as the PennGrade1 AMRA American Motorcycle Racing Association Harley-Davidson drag racing series arrives at No Problem Raceway from March 21-23. The event promises to bring thrilling competition across the sugarcane and petrochemical fields of Southwestern Louisiana.
The Circle M Ranch Top Fuel Harleys will headline the event, featuring defending champion Jay Turner and his teammate, local hero Randal Andras.
Both will face tough competitors, including multi-time champion Ryan Peery, Tracy Kile of Bad Apple Racing, and defending race winner Ricky “Sharkey” House. Other notable racers include John “JT” Toth, Jordan Peterson, Juha “Sushi” Hintukainen, and Michael Balch.

Nitro Funnybikes, with a similar intensity as Top Fuel but with reduced displacement, will also compete. Defending AMRA champion Cameron “Flash” Gunter will race against “Racin’ Ray” Robinson and Jason Leeper, among others.
Hawaya Racing Pro Fuel bikes, known for their smaller, carbureted engines, will feature two-time defending champion Sam White, along with competitors like “Bad Apple Mary” Dangrow and Rocky Jackson. Their title defense begins against a strong field including teammate Darren Brinkman and Brian Conley Jr.
Additional classes include Outlaw Street, Zipper’s Performance Pro Bagger, and Super Gas 9.90, along with various index classes. The Nitro Harley competitors eagerly anticipate welcoming the Harley-Davidson drag racing community back to No Problem Raceway.
Qualifying is set to begin at noon on Saturday, with eliminations scheduled for noon on Sunday.
